Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Klartest, available at klartest.com (the "Service"). The German version of these terms is authoritative; translations are provided for information only.

1. Who we are

The Service is operated by Sava Labs Ltd, a company incorporated in the United Kingdom ("we", "us"). You can reach us at [email protected].

2. What the Service is

Klartest helps you prepare for the German "Leben in Deutschland" test / Einbürgerungstest with practice exams, explanations, and progress tracking. Klartest is a private study tool. We are not affiliated with BAMF, any Volkshochschule, or any German authority, and using the Service does not register you for the official test or guarantee a passing result (the pass guarantee in section 5 is a promise of extended access, not a promise that you will pass).

3. Accounts

You need an account to take practice exams. You must provide a valid email address and keep access to it; login is via one-time codes sent by email. You are responsible for activity under your account.

4. Purchases and access

Paid plans grant time-limited access to the full question bank and features, for the number of days stated at purchase. Prices are shown in EUR at checkout, including applicable VAT. Payment is processed by our payment provider Stripe, acting as merchant of record and remitting applicable VAT; the terms of sale shown at checkout apply in addition. We do not store card details. Access starts at purchase and ends automatically — there is no auto-renewing subscription unless explicitly stated at checkout.

5. Pass guarantee (30-day plan)

The 30-day plan ("Auf Nummer sicher") includes a pass guarantee: prepare with our mock exams, and if you still do not pass the official test, we extend your access for free until you do. The following conditions apply:

• You took the official "Leben in Deutschland" test / Einbürgerungstest during your 30-day access period or within 30 days after it ended, and did not pass.
• Before your official test date, you successfully completed at least 10 full mock exams in the Service (a score of 17 out of 33 or better) under the account used for the purchase.
• You email us at [email protected] within 14 days of receiving your official result, attaching the official result notification showing that you did not pass.
• The remedy is free continued access to the Service, in renewed 30-day periods, until you pass the official test. The guarantee is not a cash refund and does not cover official test fees, registration, or other costs.
• The guarantee can be used once per person and is tied to your account. It does not apply where the failure to pass results from not taking the test.

6. Right of withdrawal for consumers

Your access is provided immediately after purchase. At checkout you expressly consent to immediate performance and acknowledge that you thereby waive your 14-day EU withdrawal right in exchange for instant access (§ 356(5) BGB).

That said: if you were charged in error, billed twice, or the Service didn't work as described, email us at [email protected] within 14 days of purchase and we will refund you.

7. Acceptable use

Do not share accounts, scrape or redistribute question content, attempt to disrupt the Service, or use it for anything unlawful. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, translations, and explanations, is owned by us or our licensors. Official test questions originate from the public federal catalog; our explanations and translations are our own work.

9. Disclaimer and liability

We do our best to keep content accurate and the Service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that practice content always mirrors the current official catalog.

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, and for damage resulting from injury to life, body, or health. In cases of slight negligence, we are liable only for the breach of essential contractual obligations (obligations whose fulfilment makes the proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on whose observance you may regularly rely), limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract. Any further liability is excluded. Liability under mandatory statutory provisions remains unaffected.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced on the site or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections that apply in your country of residence (including Germany/EU consumer law).
